How Copilot AI credits work
- 1 AI credit costs $0.01. When a paid plan's allowance runs out, you can keep going through an additional-usage budget at that rate.
- The flex part of each plan's allowance may change over time, according to GitHub's documentation.
- Pro and Pro+ subscribers on an existing annual plan can stay on the older request-based billing: 300 (Pro) or 1,500 (Pro+) premium requests a month and $0.04 per extra request.
- Business and Enterprise are billed monthly per user; organization admins decide whether extra usage is allowed.
